Use this page to configure the new RedHat Linux Operating System component that you are creating.
| Page Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Reference Installation | Enter the name of a host that is running the same version of the Linux Operating System that you are creating in the library. Alternatively, you can select the appropriate host name from the look-up window that is displayed. |
| RPM Repository | Enter the appropriate RPM repository that identifies the network accessible directory that is hosting all the RPMs from the Linux distribution and all updated RPMs from the vendor. |
| Time Zone | Select the appropriate time zone from the drop-down list. |
| Use UTC Clock | Select this option if you want the component to use the UTC clock. |
| Root Password | Enter the root password. |
| Root Password Encryption | Select this option if the root password that you have provided is already of the "MD5 hash" type. |
| RPM Links | Select this if you want to conserve the disk space. This option will store only the links to the RPMs rather than the RPMs themselves. |
