Create Partition Configuration Page

Use this page to add a new Disk Partition Configuration to the Linux disk layout component that you are creating. This would be a physical partition on the component.

You can create multiple partitions on the same device (hard disk), because of which, you need to specify the mount points. Mount points are logical points within a hard disk. These are used when you want to have multiple partitions within a single device.

Now that you have specified the mount points, you must also select the appropriate device name from the list box.

The size that you enter here will be specific to the device that you have selected.

Note: If you are using RAID or a Volume Manager for your disk layout, you can leave the file system type field blank, as this is used only for physical partitions, while RAID and Volume Manager are only logical partitions.
