Administration Page

Use this page to perform all the administrative tasks that are required to successfully complete the provisioning process. The configuration task that you perform here is a one-off activity and should be done before starting the provisioning process. This includes creating the stage and boot servers, creating the software library, configuring the network, and establishing default images.

The administration tasks performed here will also facilitate in load balancing of the entire provisioning operation, thus resulting in enhanced performance.

You can create a staging server (or an intermediate server) from here that will contain the image files in an uncompressed format. As an administrator, you will extract the image files to the staging server. This will facilitate a quicker provisioning activity.

The RPM Repository Configuration section helps you to add the name and the path for the required RPM repositories.

The Boot server Configuration section helps you add the host name and the appropriate boot configuration directory for the boot servers.

The Default Images section helps you to specify the images that are to be provisioned to the new hardware servers. You can add a new default image from here, edit default image properties, and delete an image. Click Stage, to stage the selected defult image.

The Network Configuration section allows you to specify all the network configurations that you want to make available to the Provisioning Application for creating network profile components during provisioning.

The Software Library section helps you to add the directory paths that the software library will use to store binary data. Click Add to create additional software library directory locations. For more information on configuring and managing software libraries, see Configuring the Software Library.

Note: You cannot delete this entry if there is only one software library location specified.
