About Report Elements

Report elements are the building blocks of a report: They specify content as well as report format. A report definition is made up of one or more report elements with each element defining what you see in the report. In general, report elements take parameters; for example, the Chart from SQL report element takes a SQL query string and a parameter specifying whether to show a pie, bar, or line chart.

Information Publisher provides predefined report elements that allow you to create custom report definitions.
