Use this page to enter the name for the new cloning instance and to configure the product settings. You will be prompted to specify various parameters based on the selected Oracle product and its installation type.
Note: This page is displayed only if the selected source Application Server Oracle home is of 10g R1 (10.1.2) version or higher.
If you have selected an Oracle Application Server home to be cloned, specify the following:
| Page Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Instance Name | To ensure the instance name is unique, it will be appended with the destination Oracle home name along with the Host name. |
| ias_admin Password | Specify the correct source and destination passwords in this section. These credentials are required to access Enterprise Manager Application Server. |
| Cluster Information | If you want the source instance that you are cloning to be part of a cluster, specify that Cluster name here and select the Join Cluster. Note: Ensure that you select Join Cluster if you want to extend a cluster with this clone. If you specify the cluster name, but do not select the check box, Enterprise Manager will not recognize this request (to extend that cluster). |
| DCM Schema Password | Specify the Distributed Configuration Management (DCM) schema password if the source instance is part of a DB Repository. This option will be displayed only if the original iAS installation required that the user specify a DCM schema password (such as a J2EE instance connected to a OracleAS Metadata Repository, but not to Oracle Identity Management.) |
| OID Admin Password | Specify the OID Admin password that is required to login to the Oracle Internet Directory (OID) as the Administrator. This option will be displayed, only if the original iAS installation is connected to an infrastructure, and requires the user to specify an Oracle Internet Directory password (such as an instance connected to Oracle Identity Management, or any Infrastructure instance.) |
Important: After cloning an Oracle Application Server home to a host that is managed by an Oracle Management Agent, the Agent does not automatically discover the targets in the cloned home. To manually discover the new home, use Grid Control Discovery or Application Server Control configure central management.
