Use the Specify Multiple Thresholds page to add and remove multiple thresholds for objects monitored by a metric. Defining multiple thresholds provides a way of specifying subsets of data that may have different warning and critical thresholds from the overall metric. That is, you can further refine the thresholds for a metric.
Examples of how to use multiple thresholds can be found at About Multiple Thresholds.
The order of the thresholds on the Specify Multiple Thresholds page determines the order in which the thresholds are evaluated.
When you click Remove to delete the threshold, the deletion occurs automatically. There is no confirmation page to verify the deletion.
The subsequent table lists the recommendations to consider when providing data in the following fields.
|
Field |
Description/Recommendation |
|
Field Name |
Type the value of the monitored object as it appears on the Metric Detail page. For example, for the Filesystem Space Available (%) host metric, the name of the metric object is Mount Point which could have values of / and /private. |
|
Response Actions |
An operating system command or script executed by the Oracle Management Agent when a metric reaches its warning or critical threshold. The response action must include a fully-qualified path and must be accessible to the Management Agent. Only administrators with super user privileges can type text in the Response Action field. Otherwise, the field is read-only. |
