Components page

Use this page to view/edit, and create new set of software components that you may want to include in an image.

The term "component" applies to any binary object or piece of software application (including the operating system software, Oracle software, and other third-party software) that is designed to perform a specific function. Typically, you will use these discrete pieces of software (or components), and package them for provisioning.

Software versions indicate the specific release of a product, a release modified by a patch, and/or a software bundle released or packaged by the vendor.

The Oracle Software Library maintains these software components.

Usage Tips

You can view a list of existing software components based on different versions of the components (such as Latest, Latest Mature, Inactive, and All Mature versions).

In the View drop-down list, select the required value to view a list of the selected version of the software components.

You can also perform a search for the required components by clicking Advanced Search.

Page Element	Description
View	Click this button to view the selected component folder, or component details.
Edit	Click this button to edit the selected folder, or component details.
Create Folder	Click this button to create a new folder (to group a set of components) .
Create Component	Click this button to create a new component. You can choose a folder that you want the the new component to be a part of.
Promote	Click this button to increment the status of the selected component.
Demote	Click this button to decrement the status of the selected component.
Deactivate	Click this button to deactivate the selected component.
Delete	Click this button to delete the selected component.
